- Abstract
- These are dispensaries located in the villages, streets or towns in the country. This is the lowest level of health facilities in the countryTanzania which serve people in their neighbourhoods. When cases seem to be complicated are transferred to District and/or Regional hospitals. Most of these facilities are wholly owned by the government. However, there are others which are owned by religious organisations and private individuals. There are relatively few dispensaries owned by government parastatals.
